As housing costs increase one of the most effective ways to afford a mortgage is to add a secondary unit, either attached to a primary dwelling unit, sometimes a reused garage, or as a separate structure. In all cases, these are small units, between 300 and 600 square feet, making efficient space planning a primary challenge. Included here are "I wanted an apartment added on to my conventional home--most important, I wanted it to blend in with little noticeable difference from the existing exterior. Ms Plath did a beautiful job--she was decisive, creative and was able to give me exactly what I asked for. I would be pleased to work with her again in the future." -Monte Stull Osborne Home, Arcata, CA.
"Living large in a small space, plenty of southern light, a great loft for a sleeping, and a generous deck." - Paul Bressoud |
